When you visit Savannah, you realize pretty fast that this place is full of spooky places and ghost sightings. The location of the hotel is perfect - far enough away from the busy parts of town but close enough for a nice 15 minute walk through nice green squares to get there.Are you wondering what the most haunted places in Savannah are? For all of our paranormal pals out there, we got you. We called ahead to notify them that one in our party is vegan, and the chef made a delicious special meal of grits with vegetables. Breakfast in the morning was equally delicious. The staff is very friendly and we had a nice time chatting with them and the other guests. Portions were generous and the food was delicious. We took advantage of both the hors d'oeuvres hour and dessert hour the night we arrived. The bathroom was fully stocked with towels and toiletries. Beds were comfortable with great bedding. The AC is a window unit, but the weather was chilly when we stayed so we didn't need it. The room itself was extremely clean and had all the necessary amenities. The neighborhood feels quite safe and the room has a double lock, so we weren't concerned about security. It has a private entrance on the ground floor, which was massively convenient. We (group of 3 friends) stayed in the Telfair room. After a short tour of the beautiful facilities, we were shown to our room. We didn't have to pay for parking as we were there on a weekend, which was a pleasant surprise. Masks were enforced and the staff were taking precautions to keep things feeling safe. I had SUCH a great experience at Eliza Thompson House that I was compelled to write my first ever review! Check-in was a breeze as we had completed the online form ahead of time.
